Pickpocketing in Prague
Cases in each city district per 1,000 residents a year, next to Prague as a whole.
Good to know: we count per resident, so the centre (Prague 1 and 2) comes out worse. Pickpockets and thieves there mostly target tourists and people who only commute in.

How we calculate it, and sources
We count crimes and offences recorded by the police, without acts that didn’t happen or aren’t punishable. We leave out fraud and economic crime, which the police record where they are reported. The location is blurred to the centre of a small area. In the centre, near stations and big shopping centres visitors and commuters push the numbers up; in small districts a few cases make a big difference.
The colour shows the ratio to all of Prague: green below 0.6 times the average, yellow around it (0.85–1.15), orange and red above. Small districts with a few thousand residents vary more.
