Lesná

A 1960s housing estate built with wide gaps between the blocks and trees in between. The Soběšice forests start to the north, and a tram takes you to the centre. It suits families and anyone who wants woods for walks right behind the house.

Černá Pole

An older district above Lužánky park: villas on the slopes, apartment houses and Mendel University by Zemědělská street. The centre is close by tram or on foot through Lužánky. It suits people who want to live nearer the centre, in a calmer area.

Which to choose

Look at the rows of the table that matter most to you:

  • You want woods behind the house: the rows with parks and woods, and the guide to Brno's green neighbourhoods.
  • You want to be in the centre fast: the rows with the trip to the centre by day and at night.
  • You have children: the rows with schools and playgrounds, and the catchment school of the exact address.
  • Price decides: the first row of the comparison and the guide on how much rent costs in Brno.

Before you sign a lease, check the flat itself: two addresses in the same neighbourhood can differ in catchment school, the walk to the stop and how close the main road is.
