Plzeň neighbourhoods with the cleanest air

Least nitrogen dioxide from traffic: Křimice (10.9 µg/m³ NO₂), then Litice and Újezd. Half of the neighbourhoods have more than 13.2 µg/m³. 14 neighbourhoods ranked by ČHMÚ five-year averages.

How we calculate it

The median address of the neighbourhood: the five-year average nitrogen dioxide (NO₂) concentration in the 1×1 km square it lies in (ČHMÚ, 2020–2024). NO₂ comes mainly from traffic; the annual limit is 40 µg/m³.

Without neighbourhoods with fewer than 2 000 residents: they are mostly fields or forest, and a handful of addresses would otherwise top every ranking. You’ll find them in the list of all neighbourhoods.
