Dog parks on the map

On Městomat you will find 71 dog parks across Prague. The most are in Praha 8, Praha 10 and Praha 14. Many dog parks have no name: on the map you can tell them apart by the neighbourhood they are in.

Off the lead or on the lead

Where a dog may run off the lead is set by the rules of the City of Prague and its districts. In designated dog parks it is always allowed; elsewhere, follow the signs: in many places dogs must be on a lead, and they are not allowed on playgrounds or in sandpits at all. Before you let your dog off in a park, check the sign at the entrance or your district's website.

What else you need

  • A microchip. Every dog must be microchipped.
  • The dog fee (poplatek ze psů) is paid to your district; the amount, reductions and how to register your dog are on its website.
  • Bags. You must clear up after your dog; bins with bags are usually found by dog parks and in parks.

Where to live with a dog

A dog park is one thing, daily walks are another. Life with a dog is easiest where a park or woodland is close by and a dog park is a few minutes' walk away.
