Holešovice

A large neighbourhood between Letná, Stromovka park and the Vltava: the Výstaviště exhibition grounds, the DOX art centre, Prague Market (Pražská tržnice) and Holešovice station. More restaurants and cafés and slightly cheaper rent, but fewer schools and doctors per resident and a weaker score for families.

Karlín

Below Vítkov hill, with metro line B and trams along Sokolovská street. The fastest to the centre by day and night, more schools, nurseries and doctors per resident, and a playground near every address. The price is higher rent and noise from the main streets.

Which to choose

  • You have children or are planning them: Karlín.
  • You want to save money and have more places to eat and drink nearby: Holešovice.
