Brno neighbourhoods most threatened by floods

Most addresses in a flood zone without protection: Komárov (99 % of addresses in a flood zone), then Horní Heršpice and Husovice. In half of the neighbourhoods it is under 1 %. Ranking of 36 neighbourhoods from the most threatened to those with no risk.

How we calculate it

The share of the neighbourhood’s addresses in a 100-year flood zone or an active zone not covered by flood protection; only neighbourhoods with at least 20 addresses. Zones by the river basin authority, addresses from RÚIAN.

Without neighbourhoods with fewer than 2 000 residents: they are mostly fields or forest, and a handful of addresses would otherwise top every ranking. You’ll find them in the list of all neighbourhoods.
